Therapy | In-Home Behavior Consultation | Virtual Parent Coaching
Self-regulation is the ability to focus thoughts, control behaviors, and manage emotions. If you want your child to develop self-regulation, you must develop your own.
Dysregulation is an emotional response that is poorly controlled. Parents who are emotionally out of control will have children who are too. You are emotionally dysregulated when you respond to situations in an exaggerated manner.
The good news? This is a learned skill. Just as you can learn poor self-regulation, you can learn healthier ways to care for yourself, interact with your children, and ultimately teach them how to regulate themselves. We can help!

Insurance…
A New Day Pediatric Psychology offers the following options to pay for your services:
Cash pay (parent coaching, therapy): Dr. Lockhart, Kimberly, Mrs. Melvia, Brogan, Deanna, Alexa
Blue Cross/Blue Shield* (therapy): Dr. Lockhart is currently accepting a limited number of therapy clients ages 15 and older covered by BCBS
If your insurance provider is not listed and you are located in the state of Texas, you may still qualify for behavioral health services with your insurance provider. Simply contact your insurance provider to determine whether you need pre-authorization for therapy.
If you are seeking services and we do not take your insurance plan, we are happy to provide you with a SuperBill through our Client Portal system for you to submit to your insurance provider for partial or full reimbursement (this cannot be provided for clients seen by Kimberly, Deanna, or Alexa).
If your insurance decides not to pay for services received, it is your responsibility to cover the remaining balance. Please check your coverage by calling your insurance provider directly.
If you live outside of the state of Texas, we are unable to provide therapy services. We are able to offer parent coaching and life coaching services.
*Blue Cross/Blue Shield: Please note although you may have BCBS for your insurance, you may be covered under a different plan for mental health services (i.e., Optum, Magellan, etc). We do not accept these plans. You will pay out of pocket if you are on one of these plans.

In order to book an appointment, you must provide a valid and up-to-date credit card number. Once your appointment is booked, you will return a signed credit card authorization form within 24 hours in order to confirm your appointment. Thank you for your prompt response.
New Clients: For all new clients, you will be required to complete all required forms online prior to your initial appointment with a team member. We reserve the right to refer your inquiry based on your current concerns, appointment availability, and current practice resources.
Returning Clients: If you have not been seen in 6 months or more, you will be required to complete a new Informed Consent and Credit Card authorization form. Additional forms may be needed from you.
Cancellation Policy: If you do not show for your scheduled appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours (2 business days, Mon-Fri) notice, you consent to be charged and are required to pay $145 for the missed session/late cancellation (full rate for parent coaching and life coaching).
